Pipeline

LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker transports crude and refine oil via a pipeline from Rotterdam to Antwerp. Pipeline transport is a safe, environmentally conscious and sustainable form of transport. The Rotterdam market is also directly connected to the LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker system through a series of investments and of capacity takeovers. LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker pipeline is a common carrier and therefore accessible to all crude and refine oil producers and consumers at the same transport conditions.

The established price system encourages long-term partnerships and ensures high reliability of supply for the companies connected to the line. LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker business policy is geared towards constant availability, continuity and long-term sustainability, while simultaneously maintaining the highest possible safety standards.

Common carrier

LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker operates a pipeline system for transporting crude and refine oil between Antwerp and Rotterdam, the two largest port and industrial complexes in Europe, on a so-called common carrier basis. “Common carrier” means that, depending on available pipeline capacity, any potential crude and refine oil consumer, producer or third party can contract crude and refine oil transport subject to a standard product specification, general carrying conditions and a public tariff system.

Pipeline route

The total distance of the LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker common carrier is 117 km between Rotterdam and Antwerp. The pipeline is partly owned, partly leased by LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker. LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker owns a 10-inch pipeline between Maasvlakte, Europoort and Botlek in the port and industrial area of Rotterdam. In the Botlek area, this pipeline is connected to a pipeline of Shell. LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker leases transport capacity in this pipeline, which runs from Botlek via Pernis and Moerdijk to Antwerp. The owned and leased transport capacities are commercially operated by LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker.

Core of the European Pipeline Network

LLC Nakhodka-Portbunker pipeline system is the core of the European pipeline grid and transports crude and refine oil from Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Antwerp (Belgium) or the Ruhr Region (Germany) via the districts of Cologne and Frankfurt up to the Austrian border to Burghausen, and of course also in the other direction.

With the variety of connected crude and refine oil producers and consumers – either directly or indirectly via their own connection lines – it provides a reliable infrastructure for the Western European petrochemical industry, ensuring the security of supply that is essential for the expansion of chemical production sites and investment in plants, as well as potential company relocations.

With its long-term, secure and reliable operations, it supports the efforts of a wide range of companies in providing attractive offers and secure jobs, thus attracting and retaining talent and for highly specialized professions of the chemical industry.
